Our History

FlyWays Argentina is the umbrella company that owns Estancia Los Chanares and Posta del Norte Lodge. Three partners : David Perez, Jessica Ciappa and Alex Mitri.

Jessica Ciappa, born and raised in Tandil, Buenos Aires province, has always taken care of the lodges and house staff. She is the one responsible for the great decoration, order and cleanliness at the lodges. She is also behind the excellent gourmet cuisine and the detail oriented team.

David Perez, was born and raised in Florida, USA. He moved to beautiful Buenos Aires in 1999. David was previously in the finance industry having worked for some time in both New York and Buenos Aires. He was the initial investor and the one behind the scenes managing Finances and marketing since the beginning.

Alex Mitri with a vast international experience in the hunting industry is the one that overseas all the hunting operation. Alex was born and raised in Colombia; grew up dove hunting with his dad and brother, in the Cauca Valley; a world famous dove hunting destination in the 70’s and 80’s. He got initiated in the Wingshooting industry, in Bolivia and Paraguay, in the year 2000. There, he worked for Erland Von Sneidern guiding dove and pigeon hunts and some fishing in the amazon basin, for peacock bass. In 2005, Alex moved to Cordoba Argentina.

By now, you must be wondering where and how these 3 people got together and started one of the most successful dove hunting outfits in Cordoba Argentina? It all happened in Buenos Aires. David, an American citizen, living in Buenos Aires, working in the banking industry, meets with Alex to discuss his interest for a dove hunting lodge in Cordoba Argentina. Alex was dating Jessica owner of a bar and restaurant in the recoleta area in Buenos Aires. David sees a great opportunity in Los Chanares lodge and makes a move, brings Alex and Jessica onboard and they all move to Cordoba to start this great partnership that has lasted for 18 years and going!! The rest is history.
